Commissioning Technician

Comfort Systems USA-ColonialWebb is seeking experienced Commissioning Technicians to join our teams. These individuals are strong HVAC service technicians, experienced in start-up and installation of new equipment.

What you’ll do

  • Perform start-up and commissioning of HVAC systems.
  • Provide training to building owners and ColonialWebb apprentices.
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment.
  • Install, replace and retrofit HVAC equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Journeyman or Master’s licenses (not required, but a plus)
  • Completion of applicable trade school

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strong experience performing start-up and commissioning of HVAC systems.
  • Journeyman level experience troubleshooting, servicing and repairing HVAC equipment.
  • Knowledge of chilled water systems, large boilers and cooling towers, large control systems (pneumatic and digital), Building Automation Systems, computer room a/c units, VAV rooftop systems and complex conventional electrical controls.
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • EPA certification
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Must be able to work independently and without supervision
  • Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
