Electrician 

Comfort Systems USA-ColonialWebb is seeking experienced commercial electricians to join our team.

Location:  Projects are located in the Metro areas, including Northern VA (Mananas, Fairfax, Arlington, Alexandria), Washington DC, and lower Maryland

What you’ll do

  • Perform electrical installation and repair operations to electrical systems and control systems.
  • Install and repair equipment such as relays, starters, switches, motors, motor control centers, switchgear, transformers, power distribution centers and associated over current protection, heat tracing systems, and cable and cable trays. 
  • Determine conduit sizes, pull conductors, make terminations and install junction boxes. 
  • Support wiring and other electrical operations relative to retrofits, construction projects, installations, equipment replacements, and other service projects.
  • Support HVAC and Plumbing special projects as needed.

What we’re looking for

  • Journeyman level experience in power and control wiring, and commercial electrical installations
  • At least five years of commercial electrician experience
  • Must have low voltage wiring experience
  • Must be able to read blueprints
  • Must be able to work independently without supervision and control your own project
  • HVAC or Plumbing trade experience (residential or commercial) is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of NEC and applicable local codes and OSHA safety regulations
  • Communication and customer service skills 
  • Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • Possession of applicable electrical Journeymen or Master’s license (not required, but a plus)
  • Completion of applicable trade school (not required, but a plus)
