Field Operations Manager
We are looking for an experienced HVAC Superintendent to run field operations in the Northern VA, Washington DC, and Maryland areas.
- The Field Operations Manager provides field leadership, as well as survey and project management support for commercial mechanical projects.
- Typical projects are HVAC and mechanical in scope, but also include plumbing and electrical construction projects, change-outs, retrofits, installations, and other service projects

What you’ll do
- Deploy and manage manpower and resources to install and repair Mechanical, HVAC, and electrical systems.
- Provide leadership and guidance to your team (Foremen, Mechanics, Apprentices, and Helpers).
- Manages projects and performs surveys to aid in the estimating of commercial mechanical construction projects, change-outs, retrofits, installations, and other service projects.
- Maintain quality and safety of work.
What we’re looking for
- Minimum of ten years of direct industry experience, three years supervisory experience as Foreman or Superintendent.
- Strong field project knowledge of various HVAC, electrical and plumbing products, systems, electronics, and building controls.
- Knowledge of national and local mechanical/plumbing/gas fitting codes and OSHA regulations.
- Industry related technical school certificate or equivalent Associate's Degree (preferred).
- Master’s License (HVAC, Plumbing, or Electrical) or ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications
- Able to perform site surveys and manage small projects.
- Ability to deal diplomatically and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
- Ability to interface with technology.
- Client management skills; ability to manage customer relationships, perceptions and expectations
- Production management skills; ability to visualize, plan, and execute to achieve budgeted goals
- Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends (as needed) and infrequent overnight travel
- Professional appearance
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
