We are seeking a dynamic individual to run our HVAC service projects commissioning team. This exciting opportunity is responsible for safety, production, quality, training and development, team supervision and customer care.

 

What you’ll do

  • Monitor and develop plans to ensure effective start-up and commissioning of HVAC systems on assigned service projects.
  • Monitor and develop plans to ensure effective training is delivered to building owners and ColonialWebb apprentices on assigned service projects.
  • Monitor and develop plans to ensure start-up and repairs are performed as defined in each work order.
  • Develop plans that effectively diagnose causes of equipment breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.
  • Provide motivation and inspiration to the team.
  • Support and promote all the Company’s business lines and operational units.
  • Develop relationships with customers’ points of contact.
  • Immediately address all service project related issues. Listen closely to customers and show empathy. Develop plans and steps to correct issues and ensure future success.
  • Share the “Safety with Care” message with all employees. Be the example of safety and the showing of care.
  • Monitor field recruiting activities and perform recruiting activities as required to ensure that a sufficient quantity of highly qualified personnel are in the company’s employ at all times.
  • Participate in Talent Management process by developing career development plans.
  • Work with Operations Manager to develop, schedule, and facilitate structured in-house training programs to ensure that all personnel are well versed on the latest technology relating to the position of which they have been assigned.
  • Ensure that all services are performed in accordance with company practices through the effective management of the Building Service field personnel
  • Monitor and control manpower, tools, and vehicles to ensure efficient and effective use of all departmental resources
  • And other duties as necessary to lead the Service Projects business or as assigned.

What we’re looking for

  • Strong experience performing start-up and commissioning of commercial HVAC systems.
  • Knowledge of all HVAC, plumbing, sheet metal, and controls trades in the commercial and industrial markets.
  • Master level experience troubleshooting, servicing and repairing commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Knowledge of chilled water systems, large boilers and cooling towers, large control systems (pneumatic and digital), Building Automation Systems, computer room a/c units, VAV rooftop systems and complex conventional electrical controls.
  • Master HVAC License is required.
  • Completion of applicable trade school is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • EPA certification
  • Communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Must be able to work independently and without supervision
  • Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
