HVAC Foreman (Service Projects)

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Foreman to provide field leadership, survey and layout support for commercial mechanical service projects (construction projects, change-outs, retrofits, installations, etc.).  Typical projects include installation, replacements and retrofits of HVAC equipment, sheet metal products and ductwork.

What you’ll do

1. Always work safely, encourage others to do so, and comply with applicable health and safety-related rules, regulations, and procedures ensuring that company safety program and site safety policies are being utilized by employees. Share the CW “Safety with Care” message with others.
2. Assigns workers to specific duties.
3. Inspects work in process and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications.
4. Trains new workers in use of equipment and tools and their safe usage.
5. Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned craft workers.
6. May supervise workers who specialize in maintenance and repair of heating, water, and drainage systems in industrial or commercial establishments.
7. Interprets specifications, blueprints, and job orders as needed for area of supervision.
8. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
9. Establishes and adjusts work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel.
10. May study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job.
11. Analyzes and resolves work problems.
12. Maintains time records.
13. May make cost estimates for contracts
14. Perform duties of an HVAC Mechanic as described separately.

What we’re looking for

1. Minimum of 5 years of direct industry experience, 2-3 years as a Foreman.
2. Trade licensure
3. Completion of apprentice program and journeyman experience
4. Knowledge of national and local mechanical and OSHA regulations.
5. Industry related technical school certificate or equivalent Associate's Degree (preferred).
6. Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications
7. Able to perform site layouts and surveys.
8. Ability to deal diplomatically and communicate effectively with internal and external customers
9. Ability to interface with technology.
10. Client management skills; ability to manage customer relationships, perceptions and expectations
11. Production management skills; ability to visualize, plan, and execute to achieve budgeted goals
12. Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends (as needed) and infrequent overnight travel
13. Professional appearance
14. Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record
