Business Development Manager

This position will lead sales for ColonialWebb in our Metro area:  Northern VA, DC, MD (Columbia-Baltimore).

What you’ll do

• Provide leadership and guidance to our regional sales team.
• Enhance our brand/name among large commercial customers.
• Increase our market presence for “big” opportunities.
• Connect with and influence high level decision makers (owners and property managers).
• Hunt for new owner relationships through cold calling, prospecting and heavy networking.
• Close new business (and help the sales team target, sell and close new business).
• Sell HVAC related preventive maintenance agreements, service projects (to include equipment change outs, retrofits, and solutions), and other services to commercial customers (B2B).
• Collaborate with our well-established operations teams in Northern Virginia, DC, and Maryland.
• Aligned with operations, direct Strategic Account Management to enhance retention and added sales.
• Influence marketing platforms that allow optimal service penetration and reach.

What we’re looking for

• Experience leading successful sales teams (5+ years of sales management experience).
• Successful track record of selling B2B commercial services (HVAC or maintenance agreement sales experience is nice to have, but not required).
• Polished coaching skills and successful background of developing high performing sales teams.
• Strong “hunting,” business development, and closing skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, customer service and phone skills.
• Competitive, ambitious, and highly motivated.
• Adaptable, persuasive, passionate, confident and positive.
• Creative, tenacious, quick learning, high energy and entrepreneurial-focused.
• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree is nice to have, but not required).
• Pass a driving record check, criminal background check, credit record check and drug screen.
