Project Engineer

ColonialWebb is seeking a Project Engineer to join our construction team in Richmond, VA. This construction engineering opportunity provides technical engineering support to project managers and construction superintendents to ensure work complies with engineering standards.
Project Engineers are business savvy, problem solvers who support project teams from fabrication to job turnover. They develop and submit RFI’s, maintain project submittal information, enter purchase orders, schedule equipment and material, assist in the development of O&M manuals and other project documents, and provide both jobsite and office support.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, or Construction Engineering Management.
- Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel to jobsites
- Proficiency interfacing with technology, including knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel for cost and engineering functions.
- Knowledge of construction equipment and techniques, drawings and specifications.
- Knowledge of building materials, engineering standards and codes.
- Demonstrate acumen for business to include knowledge and interest of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, accounting, cost forecasting, resource allocation, and coordination of people and resources.
- Client management skills; ability to manage customer relationships, perceptions and expectations
- Ability to diplomatically with internal and external customers at various levels within an organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work without direct supervision
