Piping Foreman

ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced pipefitter or welder looking to lead work as a Foreman for industrial refrigeration installation projects throughout the Shenandoah Valley area.

1. The Foreman is a working Superintendent responsible for all field operations at the site level.
2. Supervises Mechanics, Apprentices and Helpers.
3. Installs or retrofits piping systems and equipment associated with ammonia refrigeration systems for food distribution centers, cold storage, and food processing facilities.
4. Interfaces with customers at each project and ensures services are performed within accordance to applicable contractual agreements and company budget objectives.
5. Base of operations for this position is in Harrisonburg, VA.

Requirements:

1. Two years of pipefitting or welding experience
2. Able to be AWS 6g certified and pass ColonialWebb weld test
3. Knowledge of International Mechanical Code (IMC) and OSHA safety regulations.
4. Client management skills; ability to manage customer relationships, perceptions and expectations
5. Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with coworkers other tradesmen.
6. Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel
7. Able to work overtime and weekends, as required
8. Able to install work from drawings, submittals and specifications using tablet or computer
9. Able to read and understand project related documents in the English language.
10. Ability to make decisions based on information at hand.
11. Work easily and skillfully with hands.
12. Maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment.
13. Ability to work without direct supervision.
