Piping Foreman

ColonialWebb is seeking an experienced pipefitter or welder looking to lead work as a Foreman for industrial refrigeration installation projects throughout the Shenandoah Valley area.

What you’ll do

  • The Foreman is a working Superintendent responsible for all field operations at the site level. 
  • Supervises Mechanics, Apprentices and Helpers. 
  • Installs or retrofits piping systems and equipment associated with ammonia refrigeration systems for food distribution centers, cold storage, and food processing facilities.
  • Interfaces with customers at each project and ensures services are performed within accordance to applicable contractual agreements and company budget objectives.
  • Base of operations for this position is in Harrisonburg, VA.

 

What we’re looking for

  • Three years of industrial pipefitting or welding experience 
  • Able to be AWS 6g certified and pass ColonialWebb weld test
  • Knowledge of International Mechanical Code (IMC) and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Client management skills; ability to manage customer relationships, perceptions and expectations
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with coworkers other tradesmen.
  • Possess a valid driving license and willing to travel
  • Able to work overtime and weekends, as required
  • Able to install work from drawings, submittals and specifications using tablet or computer
  • Able to read and understand project related documents in the English language.
  • Ability to make decisions based on information at hand.
  • Work easily and skillfully with hands.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work without direct supervision.
