BAS Technician

What you’ll do

BAS Technicians perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair operations pertaining to large, complex, heating and cooling systems and associated BAS and control systems. They diagnose causes of equipment breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and makes necessary repairs to equipment and associated components; primary area of expertise is chilled water systems (min. 100 tons), large boilers and cooling towers, large control systems (pneumatic and digital), Building Automation Systems, computer room a/c units, VAV rooftop systems (min. 30 ton) and complex conventional electrical controls.  

What we’re looking for

Although Journeymen and Master’s licenses are not required, completion of an applicable trade school is preferred, and strong industry experience is a must. All candidates must be customer oriented, driven, collaborative, and safe.

• Journeyman level experience troubleshooting and repairing BAS systems
• LON, BACnet, Tridium, Johnson and American Auto-Matrix experience and certifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• EPA certification
• Communication and customer service skills
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Must be able to work independently and without supervision
• Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
