Insulation (Thermal) Superintendents with industrial refrigeration experience are needed for projects in the Harrisonburg / Shenandoah Valley, VA area.  

Insulation (Thermal) Superintendents supervise insulator mechanics and helpers as they apply insulating materials to pipe and refrigeration systems in order to help control and maintain temperatures.

Location:  Majority of projects are in the Harrisonburg and Shenandoah Valley, Virginia area.  This position does require individuals who are willing to travel to other projects throughout the Southeast.

 What we’re looking for

• Insulators in the I-81 / Harrisonburg area
• Journeyman level experience insulating industrial refrigeration pipe
• Minimum of 5 years' experience leading team members
• Work easily and skillfully with hands.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations.
• Maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively and deal diplomatically with coworkers other tradesmen.
• Willing and able to travel to other projects in our region, as needed.
• Drug testing and current US work authorization required.

• See well (either naturally or with correction).
• Ability to wear personal protection equipment such as hard hat, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, fall protection, safety shoes, high visibility vest and others as required.
• All employees are expected to use good judgment while performing physical job requirements and aware of their own personal physical limitations. Heavy lifting may require the use of material lifting equipment, personnel assistance, or additional help as necessary.
• Physically capable of working with hands and legs as outlined below.  
• Frequent lifting/carrying (Up to 75 lbs.) 
• Occasional (with help) heavy lifting/carrying (76+ lbs.) 
• Frequent Pushing/Pulling, repetitive motion, bending, kneeling, standing, reaching, walking, climbing ladders or stairs, stooping, crouching, and working from heights.
