BAS Technician
Comfort Systems USA-ColonialWebb is seeking experienced BAS Technicians to join our teams.
Location: Metro Office, which supports the Northern VA, Washington DC, Maryland areas. (Alexandria, Fairfax, Arlington, Manassas, etc.)
What you’ll do
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting and repair operations pertaining to large, complex, heating and cooling systems and associated BAS and control systems.
- Diagnose causes of equipment breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and makes necessary repairs to equipment and associated components;
- Primary area of expertise:
- Chilled water systems (min. 100 tons)
- Large boilers
- Cooling towers
- Large control systems (pneumatic and digital)
- Building Automation Systems
- Computer room a/c units
- VAV rooftop systems (min. 30 ton)
- Complex conventional electrical controls
What we’re looking for
- Journeyman level experience troubleshooting and repairing BAS systems
- LON, BACnet, Tridium, Johnson and American Auto-Matrix experience and certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- EPA certification
- Communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
- Must be able to work independently and without supervision
- Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
