Water Treatment Account Manager

We are seeking a strong Water Treatment professional to join our team to service accounts and manage their customers. Water Treatment Account Managers perform account management to customers as well as perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair operations pertaining to water treatment systems.

What you’ll do

Sales/Account Management Responsibilities

  1. Develops new base business in her/her region as well as supervises the maintenance of healthy customer relationships.
  2. Perform research and make client contact to identify and prioritize potential customers.
  3. Prepare and implement business development action plans for targeted customers.
  4. Develop and prepare estimates, proposals and presentations.
  5. Attend meetings, as necessary, with current and future customers to ensure healthy relationships and/or successful business development. Coordinate with CW personnel to maintain strong customer relationships.
  6. Attend weekly meetings with the Sales Manager in order to provide update on sales objectives, review individual results, and develop short-term forecasts.
  7. Review weekly reports to monitor sales results in comparison to quotas. Develop plans and take actions, where required, to obtain necessary results. Work to maximize individual strengths while using teamwork to offset weaknesses.

 Service Responsibilities

  1. Diagnoses causes of equipment breakdowns, tests parts with appropriate instruments, disassembles and assembles parts, and makes necessary repairs to equipment and associated components; primary area of expertise is water systems, chillers, large boilers and cooling towers. 
  2. Performs preventive maintenance and inspection tasks as defined in each maintenance agreement maintaining strict adherence to all budget objectives; obtains clearly defined directives from the Service Coordinator on the specific tasks to be performed; assist the coordinator in scheduling such inspections based on location, man-hour requirements, priorities, customer coordination’s, and material pick-ups; maintain total responsibility for timely performance of maintenance inspections.
  3. Tests systems, compiles reports and communicates the results of findings and makes recommendations with the customer.
  4. Collects water and other material samples relative to water treatment and analysis
  5. Adds chemicals to disinfect and deodorize water and other liquids.
  6. Operates and adjusts controls on equipment to purify and clarify water, process or dispose of sewage, and generate power.
  7. Cleans and maintains tanks, filter beds, and other work areas using hand tools and powers tools
  8. Assists plumbers and pipefitters in the installation of equipment, pipe, and other water solutions.

What we’re looking for

  1. Experience maintaining water treatment accounts and selling water solution service and projects.
  2. Experience maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing water treatment solutions.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mechanical, chemical, industrial) or Life Sciences (biology or chemistry) preferred, but not required.
  4. High school diploma or equivalent
  5. Knowledge of current BOCA Code and OSHA safety regulations.
  6. Ability to work without direct supervision
  7. Ability to deal diplomatically and communicate effectively with internal and external customers. 
  8. Ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely manner.
  9. Proficient with technology to include Microsoft Office and CRM software
  10. Work easily and skillfully with hands.
  11. Must have a clean driving record and able to pass a drug screen and background check
